Robot Operator Job Overview Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Robot Operator to join our dedicated Truck Scale Fabrication Department on second shift. Employees in this department build the toughest scales on earth; our SURVIVOR Truck Scales. Our Robot Operators will using various types of welding equipment in different positions to ensure high quality products while following safe work practices while earning a $3.00 shift differential. Duties & Responsibilities Some of your duties may include: Operating carbon air-arc, pencil grinders, disk grinders, cutoff wheel and other hand toolsLayout and fit various parts and assemblies Welding in a variety of positions such as flat, vertical, horizonal and overhead Keeping an organized, clean and safe work area in a fast-paced environment You''ll also need to be able to:Frequently bend, crouch, and reach during shifts Regularly lift up to 50 pounds Occasionally operate a forklift, overhead crane or other lift equipment What it''s like in the Truck Scale Department at Rice Lake Weighing Systems Safety: Your safety is important to us, so we provide personal protective equipment, including welding jackets, gloves, & welding hood lenses. Welding helmets are your responsibility. Surroundings: You''ll be working in a manufacturing facility around moving equipment like forklifts, overhead cranes and other machines.Activity: Some activities may require lifting heavy parts and troubleshooting the robot Temperature: The temperatures in manufacturing vary depending on the season. Noise level: It can get loud. We provide hearing protection for you. Dress code: Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Composite or steel-toe shoes are required.
