Facilities Maintenance Technician The Facilities Maintenance Technician reports to the Facilities Manager. This is a full-time, non-exempt and fully benefited position. The schedule is Wednesday - Sunday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and must be flexible to work other hours in cases of projects, emergencies, events or other reasons (as needed). All duties are performed onsite at our downtown St. Paul location. Starting pay rate is $23.65 per hour with eligibility of annual salary increases per the organization''s budget. Selection Process First Round - 30 to 45 minute phone interview with Talent Resources. Second Round - One hour video interview (MS TEAMS or in person) with Hiring Manager. Final Round - In person interview at museum with selected team members plus reconnect with Hiring Manager. Interview questions will be provided prior to each round for candidates to prepare as you wish. The final interview will give candidates opportunity to see both the mission in action and our workplace environment. Commitment to Diversity Equity & Inclusion Engagement Summary This position is a key member of the Museum''s Facilities Team responsible for general maintenance of the Museum. Primary responsibility is to assist in managing the Museum''s building, grounds, exhibits, furniture and fixtures. Responsibilities include general building repairs and maintenance activities for the building and exhibits. This position is the key back-up and on call support for facility emergencies. Assist in maintaining all building and exhibit spaces. Inspect spaces as assigned and perform scheduled maintenance. Monitor building systems: assist in system maintenance regimes and checks, trouble shoot problems. Coordinate meeting and program room furniture set-up and inventory of these supplies. Perform and support grounds keeping efforts Support Facilities Manager in work with various contractor and vendors involved in Museum maintenance Be critical back-up in absence of Facilities Manager and Housekeeping Lead As needed lead maintenance teams in special projects and daily maintenance activities Ideal Candidate High school diploma or equivalent and previous maintenance experience is desired Two years of experience working in a facilities capacity, trade or related field Competency in basic computer skills, Microsoft Windows products and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred Solid knowledge of general maintenance and repairs. Experience in HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Ability to embrace and live MCM''s workplace values of Play, Include, Grow, Serve, and Strive.
