Job Description BAE Systems is offering an exciting opportunity within the Intel Solutions Business Area as a Senior Principal Program Control Analyst supporting a large strategic program. Responsibilities for this position include providing financial analytic support to our customer''s programs; which includes financial monitoring and reporting, forecasting, and cost estimating; while maintaining compliance with established business standards, and accounting principles. This position interacts with various functional teams, along with a small team of other Analysts, in executing scope under the contact in order to adequately report performance against plan to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. The selected candidate will provide financial decision support to stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing return of program profit by managing financial requirements and program execution. This Analyst is responsible for supporting cross-functional program teams, supporting program managers and program directors with detailed and accurate financial analysis while communicating financial status to all levels of the organization. This Analyst will have frequent customer interaction which requires work to be at least 50% from the Sterling, Virginia office. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor''s degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent experience; alternatively, a master''s degree and 4 years of work experience * Advanced skills in Excel * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools * Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in a timely, accurate, concise, and understandable manner * Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams * Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment * Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures * Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Previous experience in Program Control or Financial Analysis* Experience with Costpoint * Ability to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies * Ability to present well to teams * Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers About BAE Systems Intelligence & Security BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
