This Design Support Specialist will be:• Responsible for supporting various hardware engineering development programs through their design, fabrication, and test stages. This position involves an in-depth knowledge of LM policies and procedures for the handling & movement of classified hardware, material procurement, generation & answering of problem reports, etc.• Responsible for interfacing with Facilities (office upgrades, office moves, office area climate issues, office area cleanliness• Responsible for lab upkeep facilitation (interface with program leads when equipment needs to be installed or re-arranged in labs)o support circuit breaker sizingo support HVAC sizingo support chilled water sizingo coordinate power outages for upgrades & maintenanceo reconfigure lab area when neededo UPSs (Uninterruptible Power Supply) maintenance• Responsible for generation of Material Handler Move Requests• Responsible for the expediting of delivery of parts/equipment from receiving department• Responsible for ordering & expediting prototype parts• Responsible for facilitating new hires/contractors: office space, phones, name tags, computer equipment• Responsible for upkeep of conference rooms: cleanliness, coordinate replacement of broken/defective equipment• Responsible for maintaining office area seating chart• Responsible for disposition of burn boxes with proprietary info• Responsible for providing support to the ISSO during peak times• Responsible for supporting Cyber Security adherence• Support the logistics of various test systems via maintenance of security logs, equipment inventory & movement of test systems• Responsible for maintaining an inventory of property in our labs• Responsible for functioning as custodian of property for the department as needed• Responsible for creating and maintaining documents using desktop applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project).• Responsible for supporting engineers, team leaders, and managers in creating and maintaining documents, databases, and schedules within the design center• Responsible for interfacing effectively at all LM organizational levels including hourly employees, technicians, engineers, management, security, administrative assistants, maintenance personnel, IT personnel, as well as interfacing effectively with external vendors and customer representatives.Basic Qualifications:• Associates degree in a technical field (math, science, engineering, computer science ,etc)• Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceDesired Skills:• Basic PC configuration & networking skills• Linux/Windows system administration (desired)• Ability to work off shift hours when needed• Capable of lifting items weighing up to 25 lbs (desired)• Ability to read & interpret wiring diagrams & architectural drawings• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skillsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
