Find your future with us.We are seeking a Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Level 4) to join our Renton Branch Facilities and Asset Management team located in both Renton and Seattle, Washington.This mechanical engineering position will focus on industrial building HVAC, steam, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems and reliability engineering. This is an exciting role offering extensive development opportunities. This role involves leading project teams to develop facilities mechanical system designs and providing maintenance support for the mechanical portions of buildings and grounds at the 737 airplane manufacturing plant.Position Responsibilities: Oversees mechanical designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials Leads teams to develop complex conceptual analysis to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity. Leads others in engineering and facilitating the implementation of complex improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainabilityParticipates on or leads cross-functional teams to integrate activities of multiple engineering disciplines, technicians, outside consultants and government agenciesOversees review of contractor installations and redlines and leads team to ensure accuracy of drawing archives/librariesLeads teams that manage and support complex construction projects by providing input on vendor selection; reviews contractor proposals; interfaces with government/regulatory agencies; monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performanceUses appropriate resources to produce project design drawings, specifications, and permit application packages in accordance with project parametersDevelops and updates design standards and site-specific operating procedures in order to establish common practicesLeads the business decision making process by providing input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning; completes studies; analyzes current conditions and future requirements; recommends capital improvements; gathers and analyzes data; and works to identify and assess alternatives and impactsLeads in translation of customer requirements into conceptual designLeads a team of stakeholders in the acquisition and modification of assets. Manages project expenditures within authorized budgetsThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. The current expectation is working 3 days onsite following training. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related field5+ years of experience reading & understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications5+ years of experience using AutoCAD (or similar CAD package)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):10+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering roleExperience supporting industrial facility building systems to include the following: HVAC, Ventilation, Vacuum Systems, Compressed Air, Chilled Water, and/or Water/Sewer SystemsExperience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production effortsExperience assisting with reliability processes in engineeringExperience with steam boilers and air compressorsExperience with fire protection systemsPE LicenseTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master + 7 years'' related work experience).
