Offering a $50,000 bonus, this position is great for a leader to step in and help grow our practice. Tracy Veterinary Clinic in Tracy, CA is a full service companion animal hospital that has been serving the Tracy community for over 65 years. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete veterinary medical and pet surgery care as necessary during his or her lifetime.We pride ourselves on quality medicine and excellent customer service. Client education is important to us and our staff is trained to educate our clients on wellness and prevention to help clients care for their pets. We are looking for an outstanding Managing Veterinarian that shares our commitment to quality veterinary care. What you can expect: We value your time in and out of work. We generally leave on time and have longer appointment times so you can be thorough and build a relationship with each client. Full time schedule 4 days per week. We value your compensation and provide full benefits, NO negative accrual on production, CE allowance, AVMA/CVMA/VIN memberships paid, health insurance, 401K. Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience but could expect to see base salary between $130k-150k (could flex up or down depending on experience), management bonuses and 22% production. Job SummaryIn partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing DVM are responsible for directing staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of NVA Divisional Leadership. Advancing Medical Care Leading Staff and Practice Financial Responsibilities Growing the Practice Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs. Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols. Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service. Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the public. Skills and Basic Qualifications: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills through charting and in appointments with clients. A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics. The ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members. Capable of quality decision making. The ability to coach, correct, develop, and motivate Associate DVM''s while working collaboratively. Demonstrates excellent time and task management. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients. Stays current on new medical information and changes to veterinary medicine.
