The Project Manager is a facilitator, working with project leads across disciplines to anticipate, plan and communicate key information required for successful Brand & Marketing initiatives. With a diverse array of projects, growing rosters of internal project owners and external agencies that we work with, there are a lot of moving parts in our internal agency model. The Project Manager will play a key role in managing stakeholder expectations, timelines, processes and workflow to ensure deliverables make it to the project owners on time and budget. Our projects span the gamut of marketing deliverables: from internal campaigns to consumer-facing communications like video, email, social posts, websites, advertising deliverables, event spaces, collateral, merch and more. We typically have a number of projects happening at the same time, so you must be able to manage multiple aspects of the process simultaneously. Our team is small but mighty; we are solution-oriented and wear many hats. We are developing internal processes to improve organization and elevate creative integrity. This role will be hybrid, but must be able to be in office at Virgin Galactics Tustin, CA Flight office minimally two days per week and work from anywhere the remainder of the work week.Primary Responsibilities: Collaborates with department leadership and other stakeholders to develop integrated project schedules and provide teams with key milestones and due dates Facilitates inter-department engagement for special projects, such as live streams Facilitate communication and understanding across teams of task objectives, deliverables, key dates, milestone contingencies, and project status Proactively identifies resources such as time, external contractors or budget necessary to support initiatives and complete project accurately Builds project plans, resource sheets, and/or project playbook as needed Fosters cross-functional collaboration across disciplines to ensure projects are moving effectively toward their milestones; ensures that the team is operating smoothly and efficiently in order to achieve the most integrated and efficient productions Sees the big picture, but stays on top of the details; aware of project status at all times and communicates project status to team to ensure on-time completion Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues before they hinder progress; leverages interpersonal skills facilitate creative problem solving Develop, maintain, communicate and reinforce correct process, procedures and best-practices. Coach, mentor and train others as needed Documents and archives project activities and asset files; monitors the archival of other stakeholder assetsWhat you bringWhat You BringDeep familiarity with cross functional creative roles to help with resourcing projects efficiently and correctly 5+ years project management or production experience in a creative environment (advertising/PR, entertainment, media); from strategy development through to production delivery, ideally 360 campaigns Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish strong working relationships with cross-functional teams Professional and flexible demeanor to handle interactions with a range of people from entry level team members to executive leadership Able to work autonomously but also collaboratively with team for solutions-oriented result Clear and concise written and verbal presentation skills and style; proficient in presentation (Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint) and workflow software (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project) Work well in a fast-paced environment and be fast on your feet to adapt to changing project parameters Be solution-oriented, flexible, positive, a team player and consummate professional who takes pride in their work CultureVirgin Galactic has a relaxed and informal culture that encourages individuality and innovation.
