SummaryThis individual contributor position works independently to perform complex duties related to Lean Six Sigma and Health System performance improvement functions under the Manager, EPMO & Lean Transformation, Quality & Operational Excellence department. The Lean Six Sigma Specialist II will lead system-level process and performance improvement initiatives at the service line or organizational level. This position is remote eligible, however you need to be located in the DFW area.Experience and EducationBachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Management Science, Engineering, Nursing, Social Sciences, or similar degree. Advanced degree preferred. Five (5) years'' of experience with quality improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, High Reliability Organizations and/or other improvement methodologies; OR, Master''s degree, and three (3) years'' experience with quality improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, High Reliability Organizations and/or other improvement methodologies Two (2) years supervisory experience (over process improvement projects) required.Black Belt (BB) certification or Master Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent is preferred. Job DutiesAnalyzes care delivery systems across the continuum of care and all healthcare settings using variety of approaches such as value stream analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical process control, measurement system analysis, process mapping, and/or Pareto charts.Facilitates system designs/redesigns using a variety of broad system approaches such as Six Sigma DMAIC, DFSS, systems engineering, and/or IHI Model for Improvement.Develops relevant KPIs and metrics relevant to solving systemic care delivery issues and in alignment with Operational Plan and Balanced Scorecard (BSC).Leads Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) events to enhance flow and coaches process owners through local kaizen events.Trains others in a classroom setting and as part of project teams in basic concepts of process improvement.Performs project management activities that include project team development and success.Facilitates and manages Lean Six Sigma knowledge transfer across the organization. Provides guidance as well as coaching to members of the Quality & Operational Excellence office as well as cross-functional teams in Lean Six Sigma tools, techniques, and methodologies to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. Collaborates with program directors and managers to assess performance monitoring and implement improvement plans, and to ensure accountability, feedback loops and monitoring systems.Manages and leads large-scale improvement related activities between the Health System and Quality & Operational Excellence Department.
