In production since 1989, Marigold is a large run-of-mine heap leach operation with several open pits, waste rock stockpiles, leach pads, a carbon absorption facility, and a carbon processing and gold refining facility. We offer a generous benefits package which includes a medical, dental and vision plan, a 401k retirement plan and employee stock purchase plan - both with employer contribution, paid time off, disability leaves, bonus program and much more!Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties:Reporting to the Technician Services Superintendent the Mine Engineer typically works a 4, 10 hour schedule and is responsible for the following:Mine design, studies, planning, scheduling and working on Fleet management system - Dispatch.Liaison with a wide variety of persons and groups to obtain the pertinent data needed for each project.Assisting in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projectsAssisting in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs under close supervisionParticipates in small to medium sized site construction, expansion or modification projectsPrepare and present summary reports, performance metrics as requiredPerforms other duties as requiredRequired Skills:Bachelor''s degree (B.S.) in Mine Engineering Geological Engineering or related engineering disciplineKnowledge of the principles and practices of engineeringExcellent interpersonal/relationship skills; able to communicate both written and verbally with individuals, crews and departments.Excellent organizational and problem solving skillsAbility to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsRequired Experience:0-5 years of experienceExposure to open-pit, hard rock mining operations, preferredExperience with Hexagon MineSight mine planning software and AutoCAD software, preferredKnowledge of Dispatch Fleet Management System, puter literate and proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database softwareAbility to provide positive customer serviceSSR Mining Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
