This position will be key in understanding and anticipating trends in the industry, opportunities for growth, market positioning, technology development and integration needs and will leverage product leadership expertise to drive improvements in the performance of the organization. They are directly responsible for driving the vision and implementation of the global product strategy for an assigned Elavon Labs initiative.The role will engage with cross-functional teams within Product and across the Bank, as well as strategic external partners towards a common goal of delivering integrated products andsolutions for merchants and consumers. This includes building APIs, UX, and Platform services in one of the fastest growing areas in the organization and bringing innovative use cases to life at scale.As a change agent, the successful candidate will bring a fresh perspective and will accelerate business growth. In addition, the candidate must be highly collaborative, a great communicator, customer oriented and bring a structured & disciplined approach.This role may partner closely across the bank including team members from the Chief Digital Office, Technology, Payment Services, Consumer Business Banking, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Credit and Risk and Corporate Compliance. It may engage in banking industry level projects.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and define the overall product strategy and business case for the assigned Elavon Labs initiative. Support efforts to ideate, develop and execute the product roadmap tied to known client needs and the Elavon Labs initiative strategy.Assemble the Elavon Labs initiative dream team.Work closely with clients, other product teams, technology teams, and other internal and external business partners.Product strategy: envision the product set needed to deliver business strategy and develop roadmaps that guide the organization in the work needed to fulfill the strategy. Lead the process through which all work on maintenance and creation is prioritized in order to optimize the return on investmentProduct innovation: create and introduce new solutions and enhance existing solutions along multiple time horizons. This includes innovating how we work across the enterprise to bring value to distribution partners and to customersProduct design: conceptualize products and their associated features and functions, and produce content that enables engineers and other roles to complete the work needed to bring designs to lifeCustomer research: develop and implement listening posts that operate as feedback mechanisms for existing solutions, and that serve as inputs into new product developmentProduct development: using the Shield agile framework, and directing UX and engineering expertise from the shared service organization, from third parties, and from the product organization, oversee the detailed design, build and implementation of products.Product commercialization: work with the marketing team, sales organization and distribution partners to evangelize the Labs initiative, and to prepare the distribution network to derive returns from the product portfolios at the appropriate time with the product commercialization teamProduct management: own the product portfolios from end-to-end, from the beginning of the product lifecycle through to product end-of-life. Continuously optimize the portfolio mix to realize maximum benefit.Product analytics and metrics: envision and implement the metrics required to manage the product organization, and to lead other functions that are needed to realize value from product portfolios, including measures such as product profit and loss statements, product adoption and penetration rates, product vitality index, etc.Ethics and compliance: Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.Basic QualificationsBachelor''s degree, or equivalent work experienceEight or more years of related work experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceStrong functional background in product leadership including strategy, go-to-market, development of value propositions and with knowhow of how payments ecosystems work, demonstrated success delivering results, measuring performance and ensuring accountabilityStrong product and technical background with good understanding of payments industry, across consumer and business lending, cards and merchant acquiring would be preferable.Demonstrated ability to pivot from macro to micro issues from shaping the product strategy and innovation agenda to the day-to-day details of launching/piloting initiativesA team player with strong partnership and collaborative style, with outstanding communication skills written, verbal and presentationAble to lead, influence and partner within a matrixed environment. Prior experience working in and thriving in a shared services environment is requiredExceptional leadership skills, including the ability to identify top talent, lead and motivate dispersed teams and demonstrate leadership and collaboration among peers.
