Learn more at Location: This position can be located anywhere in the U.S or Canada, but its preferred location is our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.Position ProfileWe are looking for a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the development of enterprise SaaS products involving the latest in Cloud technologies, focused on protection of SaaS applications, such as M365 and Salesforce. This person will lead a multi-site, and remote team of up to 60+ managers and software engineers and will be expected to create a team building environment. The right individual will have a strong background leading the delivery of large-scale SaaS projects in an Agile environment. Experience in scaling up teams from startup phase to large engineering teams, through all stages of product development and maintenance is required. This includes driving development processes across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.Position LocationThis position can be located anywhere in the U.S or Canada, but its preferredlocation is our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.ResponsibilitiesThe perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. An ideal background will include: Lead, mentor, motivate, and continually build capability across a largedevelopment team Develop and execute technical software development strategy for enterprise applications and systems, based on a business roadmap Manage a talented reporting staff of senior level leaders who lead large development teams Drive development processes to meet aggressive release schedules while maintaining very high customer experience and quality levels Work closely with our Engineering Management, Product Management and Executive teams to define the Product strategy to develop the next generation products and services Coordinate team collaboration and synchronization between the Canada, US, India and other world-wide development organizations Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals Drives continuous software development process improvement and product innovation Participate in reoccurring operating reviews to drives initiatives and continually improve software development methods, organization productivity, product quality and overall business outcomesQualifications 10+ years of demonstrated success leading enterprise-class software development organizations in a fast paced, start-up environment Experience with operating a world-class DevOps and service delivery team, with experience on provisioning, monitoring, reporting and incident resolution. Hands-on experience leading an Agile/Scrum and test-driven development methodology Experience with the Azure platform including compute services such as VMs and container orchestration, web apps, Azure SQL, blob storage, Azure DevOps services, and Azure pipeline. Familiarity with AWS platform. Development and testing tools experience, particularly in with the Windows platform, Visual Studio and C language Experience growing and scaling a high performing engineering teams and working with empowered teams with senior architects, and expert engineers. Experience in working directly with customers to handle high-visibility issues as well as impactfully conveying the value of the offering Experience around security and compliance certifications; security practices, security testing, and key aspects of authentication and encryption. Experience with data protection method and technologies Ability to effectively lead team and influence cross-functionally Experience with leading global engineering teams in multiple time zones Ability to think strategically while maintaining focus on results and executionEducation A Bachelors degree in Computer Science is required.
