UCAP Technician Primary Location: Lackland AFB - San Antonio, TX Must be a U.S Citizen Security Clearance: ActiveTop-Secret w/SCI Eligibility This position is contingent on contract Award Job Summary Obsidian is seeking an experienced and motivated Unified Capabilities Approved Products (UCAP) Technician to join our Lackland AFB team. The UCAP Technician will plan, prepare, and execute test systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze and report test results. Specific Responsibilities * Test and evaluate cyber systems and products under the Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) DISA process. * Provide IA and interoperability test services including test development, execution, analysis, and reporting in support of the UC APL test process. * Provide expertise and technical services in system and product certification and accreditation, analysis, and reporting of requirements in the are of IA and Computer Network Defense (CND) * Handle legacy, current and future protocols to include UC protocols (VoIP, H.323, H.225, Q.391 and SIP), Network protocols including IPv4 and IPv6, Electrical signal interfaces to peripheral devises (USB - all versions, 422, 1553, etc.) * Create, edit, and deliver TEMPEST test reports following test completion. * Prepare TEMPEST test reports according to national TEMPEST standards, support testing efforts using automated testing tool such as Selenium. * Record and manage test data. Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in a Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) environment * Experience with Cyber Mission Systems, Air Force Weapon Systems * Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. * Experience with cybersecurity and privacy principles, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses. * Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems with information communication technology that were designed without system security considerations. * Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth). * Knowledge of cybersecurity-enabled software products. * Knowledge of Test & Evaluation processes for learners. * information compromise. * Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services. * Experience conducting test events, designing a data analysis structure (i.e., the types of data a test must generate and how to analyze that data), determining an appropriate level of test rigor for a given system, developing operations-based testing scenarios, systems integration testing. * Skill in managing test assets, test resources, and test personnel to ensure effective completion of test events, preparing Test & Evaluation reports and providing Test & Evaluation resource estimate. * Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
