Rogers College of Law is seeking to fill the position of Law Fellow, Water Project. The Law Fellow will support the Assistant Director, Water Project in supervising students and representing small claimants in the Arizona General Stream Adjudication from case initiation through settlement negotiation, as authorized by the Arizona Legislature. The Law Fellow will support the Assistant Director in developing a curriculum to prepare students for practice in the Adjudication. The Law Fellow will support the Assistant Director in developing and implementing eligibility criteria for selecting clients that satisfies legal authority, needs of the claimants, and educational opportunities for students.Funding approved for one year and will possibly be extended for an additional year. This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please click here.Duties & Responsibilities Identify potential clients for the Clinic Water Project and assist in client selection.Represent, and educate and supervise students in representing, small landowners in the Arizona stream adjudications.Assist Clinic and University Cooperative Extension staff in educational outreach to communities impacted by the Arizona general stream adjudications.The fellow may also choose to research and write at least one article, policy paper, or other approved project of publishable quality on a topic relating to natural resource law.
