Responsibilities/Duties: * Applies extensive experience and knowledge to calibrate and troubleshoot fault isolation, adjustment and repairs using Test Measure Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) certified laboratory standards.* Performs calibrations and repairs on a variety of parameters to include temperature, physical dimensional, mechanical, and electronics.* Develops calibration procedures and ensures documentation confirms to Quality Systems requirements.* Performs complex configuration and tests of equipment according to instructions, blueprints, schematic sketches and/or prescribed testing procedures.* Performs calibrations on Metrology Standards.* Conducts uncertainty analysis, develops Uncertainty Budgets, develops/modifies/reviews procedures, and ensures documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.* Use hand tools and sets up and uses standard machine tools.* Use common laboratory measuring, calibration, and test equipment.* Perform troubleshooting in conjunction with design modification functions involved in production or engineering liaison.* Provide guidance regarding equipment operation to customers and equipment operators.* Maintain records of test data and assist in writing test procedures and test evaluation reports.* Provide leadership and mentorship to other team members.* Orient, train, assign and check the work of lower level employees.* Assists Laboratory Manager in daily operational duties including work scheduling, customer interaction and communication, participates in customer meetings.* Provides activity and status reports to management.* Serves as resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.* Ensure documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.* Makes reports on system conditions, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed; prepares and maintains repair and maintenance records as required by federal and department regulations and directives.* Performs complex configuration and tests of equipment according to instructions, blueprints, schematic sketches and/or prescribed testing procedures.* Resolves group and customer issues, seeks to improve the overall productivity of the department, anticipates problems, and initiates appropriate actions to eliminate them.* Identifies and oversees productivity savings, and cost avoidance initiatives.* Proficient at understanding and writing reports and work instructions and assists customers to define technical requirements to meet their objective.* Perform work safely, in-compliant to HS&E requirements, and takes actions to ensure a safe working environment.* Maintains records of test data and assists in writing test procedures and test evaluation reports.* Interact effectively with others to produce the desired results.* Participate constructively in the utilization of process improvement methods to provide timely, cost-effective, quality services.* Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail. * U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.* Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree or applicable technical training and certifications and/or 7 years of directly related experience. equivalent experience in lieu of degree.* May lead and direct the work of others in the absence of the supervisor.* Military PMEL/TMDE/Metrology training preferred.* Troubleshooting and Calibration of equipment -Experience with IndySoft software a plus.* Environmental chamber maintenance and repair a plus.* Knowledge and practical application of standard processes to ensure the maintenance of an accredited.* Quality System ISO9001, Z-540.1, AS9100, ISO17025, and NIST traceable certificates of compliance.
