This position will serve as part of the on-site RMS leadership team in Marinette, WI, and functionally be part of the RMS Global Sustainment organization. This individual will primarily function as part of the program team supporting the LCS Freedom Class and MMSC Program Management Teams but will also serve as part of the broader RMS Waterfront Enterprise Team (that supports a range of Ship Integration, Test and Support efforts on various programs and ship classes in multiple geographical locations). This position will be responsible for supporting the PMO as directed for shipboard planning, production, installation, and test support activities. Specific responsibilities assigned may include but are not limited to: assisting in the development and execution of the overall LCS/MMSC construction and delivery strategy; monitoring of shipboard systems/equipment design, installation and operations; development of metrics to document and track equipment /system condition and maturity while continuously assessing and reporting shipboard systems and subsystem equipment status; providing general waterfront support activities as requested by the PMO; collaborate with other internal groups including the PMO staff, the Mission Systems team, the Engineering & Technology (E&T) organization, the Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) organization as well as external groups including SUPSHIP, FMM, NAVSEA and other government agencies and contractors as required to assist with identifying and resolving design and vendor interface issues, scheduling and establishing priorities; perform the role of the Ship Superintendent/Production Manager as directed in support of overall construction efforts; and perform full spectrum leadership activities assigned direct report employees. As part of our culture of innovation, you''ll have outstanding benefits and amenities, an inclusive work environment, ongoing career development and support, rewards and recognition to honor your hard work, and more.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Marine Engineering or related naval education and experience.- Extensive knowledge of ship production and shipboard systems installation, integration and test efforts including planning, scheduling, and resolving dependencies.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities including experience planning, coordinating, and executing complex projects, including all staffing, technical, schedule, and budget aspects.- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and the generation of reports, presentations and other required internal/external written communication and documentation.- Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting this position. US citizenship is required.Desired Skills:- Knowledge of the LCS Program including LCS ship design and construction approach.- Knowledge of the Aegis Program and its Weapon System Integration, Test and Waterfront Support requirements. - Ability to research design and implementation issues, read and translate ship drawings, and communicate construction approaches and deficiencies.- Sound knowledge and experience with international regulatory body requirements, classification standards, marine engineering practices, specifications and rules.- Ability to monitor and evaluate schedule and cost performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigating late/over and under budget activities, and assisting project supervision in findings and solutions.- Ability to perform analysis and studies in depth, make professional presentations, and keep up with technical advancements.- Experience with digital transformation activities.- Demonstrated full spectrum leadership capabilities.- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships (both internal to LM and with customers)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
