Accounts Receivables Director Hospital Denials and Audit Overview of PositionThe Accounts Receivables Director, Hospital Denials & Audit, is responsible for managing a team of Denials Specialists, Nurses, Audit Specialists, Contract Modelers and a small clerical staff in support of the Hospital Revenue Cycle Management Team. Location: Remote/Telecommuter role with up to 20% overnight travelWhat will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Serves as an escalation point for these areas: Denials, Audit, and Contract ModelingMonitors revenue on a daily/weekly/monthly basisEnsure that team KPIs are metIdentifying and working on process improvement initiatives including but not limited to evaluating their current processes and working on initiatives to improve them, optimization initiatives, workflow system improvements, and initiatives focused on increasing revenue.Does forecasting for the team and manages the teams P&LWorking on migrations to a new workflow systemPeople Management creates job descriptions, hires new people, mentors direct reports, and performs corrective actions when neededWorks with the Sales Team to advance denial & audit services salesAttends client meetingsDoes regular report outs to the Vice President, Revenue OperationsWhat are the requirements needed for this position?5-7+ years of experience managing hospital claims denial management. Must have experience with medical necessity denials5+ years of people management experience, managing multiple teams of at least 20+ peopleExperience managing a P&LStrong reporting experience required. Must be able to work on new reports and client-facing reports5+ years of client facing experience. Must be able to build strong relationships with our existing & new clients. Proven process improvement experienceKnowledgeable about hospital-based systemsWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Experience managing an Audit team would be helpfulExperience working with the Sales Team to assist in sales of additional denial & audit services would be preferable Experience working with another outsourcing revenue cycle vendor would be helpfulWhat are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job? General office demandsHow much should I expect to travel?May require up to 20% overnight travel.
