Find your future with us.The Southern California Operations Center in Seal Beach, CA is seeking Systems Engineers with a broad knowledge of Boeing commercial airplane systems to support a 24/7 fast paced environment solving Urgent/AOG customer issues. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience on multiple Heritage Boeing and Heritage Douglas models in hydro-mechanical systems, aircraft fluid systems, landing gear systems, payloads systems, environmental control systems, propulsion & fuel systems, electrical systems, avionics systems, flight controls systems, general systems design and repair, and systems troubleshooting.Position Responsibilities Apply broad knowledge of Boeing airplane design and/or engineering principles to solve Urgent/AOG system issuesSolve technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customerAssess system failures and develops solutions for continued safe operation of aircraftDesign and/or provide analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue serviceConduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for nonconformance''sAnalyze reported problems for potential safety issuesDevelops solutions utilizing sound engineering logic, experience, and published dataProvides troubleshooting assistance to customers via telephoneCollaborates with other support groups to develop solutionsCommunicates with customers if additional information is needed or roadblocks arisePerform review of the requests and determine the best avenue for resolutionReview outgoing messages for qualityCorrespond with Operators through BCS, e-mail, IM and telephoneActs as point of contact for incoming calls and BCS Service RequestsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryThe position requires flexibility to work a nonstandard schedule, which may include working "7days-on/7days-off", holidays and weekends, and second or third shift hours to support the Boeing fleet operating in a 24/7/365 environment5 or more years related engineering experienceThe ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)ABET Accreditation is preferredExperience with Boeing aircraft data (hands on experience is a plus)Customer Service ExperienceAirframe and Powerplant license is advantageousThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master+7 years'' related work experience).
