If you are seeking a dynamic, innovative environment, this opportunity is for you!Boeing Global Services is seeking Equipment & Tool Engineers for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) to support our Renton single-aisle office with worldwide aircraft repairs and retrofit (707,737 &757). A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out near the airplane, interacting with mechanics, and directly supporting the repair. In AOG, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.Our Teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Equipment & Tool Engineers. This position will require travel 25% of the time. In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.Primary Responsibilities:Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and design solutions to modify or repair grounded customer aircraft for return to service.Travel and support repair of damaged aircraft as a member of the repair team. Can be dispatched at any time with short notice. (Includes both domestic and international travel.)Work in a cross-functional team alongside specialists from manufacturing, production, service engineering and quality to create the repair plan for incident repair support.Manage projects to completion, effectively coordinating across all involved groups, to maintain configuration and to ensure compliance with industry safety standards.Develop and implement tooling workarounds to maintain aircraft configuration.Perform studies and make recommendation for disposition of municate, collaborate, teach, and mentor others to contribute to the effectiveness of the organization. Work Authorization Statement:The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Minimum 1 year of experience working in an engineering disciplineMinimum 1 year of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacityMust be able to work overtime and holidays as required as well as work for extended periods of time in adverse conditions and environments (overtime and holiday pay compensation will be included)Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (ability to obtain a valid passport).Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5 or more years of experience working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role 5 or more years of experience working in a aircraft production environment3 or more years of CATIA and ENOVIA experience2 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with safety codesAbility to learn in a fast paced environmentAbility to collaborate with both engineers and mechanics internally and externally Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systemsTypical Education/Experience: Bachelor''s degree and typically 2 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with experience in an engineering classification.Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
