OverviewAll Hospital staff starting after March 15, 2022 will be required to have received, one dose of a single-dose vaccine orat least the first dose of a multiple-dose vaccine series, or have been granted a qualifying exemption, or identified as having atemporary delay as recommended by the CDC prior to providing any care, treatment or other services for the Hospitaland/or its patients. The vaccine will be administered by the Hospital if the new staff member does not provide a validvaccination card.Under supervision, to perform work involving patient tracking activities on an automated and manual system, organizing patient medical records, and performing receptionist duties, as well as other related duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Patient Care Units.ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions) Assists with basic patient care related tasks such as ambulating patient, preparing patients for meals, feeding patients, removing food trays, grooming tasks, and making beds, with direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Makes contributions to the Patient''s Plan of Care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Takes and records temperature, B/P, weight, height, and oral intake accurately. Transports patients, specimens, supplies and equipment to the correct service area in a safe manner. Distributes drinking water and nourishments to identified patients. QualificationsJOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Possess good interpersonal. Communicates well both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work flexible shifts as required. Demonstrates diplomacy interacting with staff, clients and the public. Demonstrates flexibility in meeting unanticipated demands and priorities. Able to perform in a crisis.EDUCATION Completed medical/surgical nursing class and pharmacology test from respective teaching institution. Nursing Required STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure 1, Employee Relations Code. CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information. Understands and supports the commitment of Methodist Hospitals in adhering to federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing ethical business practices for healthcare providers.
