Solutions Consultant, Insight Financial Services (IFS)

Responsibilities Primary responsibility in support of the business in functional understanding, operation, and release management of our suite of financial and marketing applications including our Leasing (Leasewave), ERP (Great Plains), and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) applications. Solicits feedback and identifies business and user needs, helps design (or re-design) application solutions, participates in the development and testing, of complex software applications solutions. Working as the liaison between the Organizations Vendors, Engineering Teams, and its Business Users, improve the overall functioning of the business software. Focus on the resolution of system and business process defects & data gaps ensuring acceptable system usage, testing, and timely deployments in collaboration with IT and external Vendor(s) to effectively support business operations. Identifies, defines, and documents business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of systems access after consulting with functional unit management and personnel. Performs or assists Business Users with application testing applications and responds to Business Users questions and ideas. Assist with data analysis by querying data sources (databases, file extracts, etc.) and translating ad-hoc business report to identify underlying data and functional requirements. Author and use activity diagrams, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, flowcharts, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, interviews, and workflow analysis to Induce and manage requirements Maintain and document system and business procedures by ensuring process owners and users are following known policies and procedures in accordance with known best practices and company policies. Qualifications / Education Experience and operational working knowledge of the commercial equipment leasing industry and vendor-based leasing applications (software applications). Experience and a solid understanding of Finance, Accounting, and Leasing principles. Minimum 3+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis. Hands-On experience with techniques related to the tasks associated with Business/Systems Analysis and the Software Development Life Cycle (both Agile & Waterfall methodologies). Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other MS Office Products. Experience using industry leading software collaboration tools such as JIRA and SharePoint. Experience writing basic SQL queries with MS SQL Server. Experience in the finance/leasing industry is desired. Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience.Skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment requiring minimal direct supervision. Must possess aptitude to take initiative and be able to own assigned work. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to perform analytical thinking and problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to work across functional teams and Management.
