If so, this position is for you!The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a provider of direct health care services who synthesizes and utilizes evidence based practice, research and current clinical knowledge. Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competence, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and complete documentation and take responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation. This position is for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work with a team of Physicians and Advance Practice Providers (APPs) who are responsible for the clinical management of patients on the Hospital Medicine service. This is a Perioperative position in which job responsibilities include: interviewing and examining patients, initiating appropriate work-up, interpreting lab and imaging results, and creating a proper treatment plan. High level of autonomy is needed therefore, minimum of one year experience is required.Responsibilities & RequirementsEducational Requirements: APRN: Masters degree with an Advanced Practice Nursing Focus and National Board Certification required PA: Masters degree required with the appropriate National Certification.1-3 years of experience as a PA or Acute APRN is requiredResponsibilities include: Interviewing and examining patients, initiating appropriate work-up, interpreting lab and imaging results, and creating a proper treatment plan. The APP will also be expected to answer floor calls and respond to nursing concerns Ability to communicate and relate well with staff, physician(s) and the public. Must follow strict patient confidentiality standards Must be able to work in collaboration/under supervision of multiple physicians, and be able to follow directions from collaborating/supervising physicians OR Must be able to work autonomously with little direction, but also in collaboration/under supervision of multiple physicians Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations and critical analysis skills Demonstrates ability to function under stress; ability to multi-task Maintains competencies and skills of specialty area of practiceMust meet elgibility requirements needed for hospital staff privileges
