Junior Software Developer/ DevOps Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local What You''ll Get to Do As a Software Developer/DevOps Engineer you will provide technical expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), DevSecOps and Software Configuration Management in support of the automated and rapid delivery of innovative solutions to a cloud-based environment as well as Virtual based environments. Having background in software development this role will also allow growth in .Net framework, SQL, PostgreSQL, APIs and other web technologies. This role is primarily REMOTE but you must live within commuting distance to the Pentagon for on-site support and deployments. More About the Role * Develop automated CI/CD build/deployment pipelines using AzureDevOps (TFS), DACPAC, MSDEPLOY.* Aid in software configuration management (SCM) release planning and version control, providing SCM support throughout a software product''s life cycle (initial software development through promotion to Test, QA, and Production Environments).* Plan and manage parallel software development and release cycles as well as provide SCM for a large, distributed development network with remote partners, ensuring the consistency and reliability of software builds.* Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums and demonstrate working software while collaborating with a geographically distributed (remote) team, communicating, and collaborating frequently with teammates to ensure successful completion of project objectives.* Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.* Proactively and independently identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks. You''ll Bring These Qualifications * Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline* Familiar with Git and experience with development workflows.* Desire to get into designing, building, and deploying DevOps pipelines with Git* Understands managing software baselines, merging branches, and producing software builds* Some experience working with PowerShell* Experience with .Net or JAVA* Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status* DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance prior to start date* Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 60 days of start date* Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team* Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter* Ability to design and document technical solutions related to CI/CD* Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment* Solution-based thinker; capable of resolving complex technical challenges* Works well with limited oversight from manager, Business Analyst, or Scrum Master These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have * Experience working remotely with a geographically dispersed team.* Experience working as part of an Agile software development team.* Experience using AWS Company Overview: At CACI, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by providing information solutions and services in support of national security missions and government transformation for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian customers. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
