Lead Diesel Mechanic-1st shift

OverviewLead Diesel Mechanic - Shift: 1st shift 6am-230pm Pay: 30-35 per hour, depending on experienceThe Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing the shop in the absence of the Location Manager, as well as repairing and maintaining equipment and vehicles including trailers and vans. This Position reports to the Regional Service Manager or a Service Manager.Shift: M-F 6A- 2:30PEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Manages workflow and productivity of technicians in location.Ensure the fleet meets company and customer operational standards.Coordinates vendor support for major equipment repairs.Issues purchase orders for payment of vendors and for ordering parts.Maintains and reviews parts inventory.Manages shipping/receiving of products. Repairs tractors and trailers as needed. Requirements: Must have a valid CDL-A license (or the ability to obtain a CDL-A) with an acceptable driving record.Must provide own hand toolsAt least 3-5 years of similar management experienceAt least 5-7 years of mechanics experienceComputer applications using MS OfficeStrong supervisory skills in dealing with peopleExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restrictionMust be able to work outside in inclement weather conditionsMust be able to work in environment with excessive noiseMust be able to stand or lie for extended periods of time in order to repair equipmentMust be prepared to have flexible hours for staffing and scheduling facilityConnect With Us!
