Job Responsibilities Davidson is seeking a (M&S) Model and Simulation Developer Engineer 1 in Colorado Springs, CO. * The position requires a software engineer experienced in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense system (MDS) assets * Candidate will design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for a Missile Defense M&S organization using C++ and/or C programming languages on either Linux or Windows operating systems * Primary responsibilities include designing and developing software to model various MDS elements capabilities Qualifications Requirements: * 0-5 years with a Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related discipline * Must be proficient in C++, C, Java, or similar programming language, have a strong understanding of object oriented software development, and have a basic understanding of Linux and Windows platforms * Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment * Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications: * Experience in developing software in C++, C and/or Java * Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform * Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development Clearance Requirements:Currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance
