All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:Lockheed Marin is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic for a position at Camp Mackall, NC. Essential duties will include the following:•Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.•Repair or replace vehicle tires.•Replace damaged parts on vehicles.•Perform QA/QCs on out-going vehicles.•Replace broken windshields.•Perform check rides on repaired equipment.•Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.•Perform operator maintenance on all equipment used in execution of duties. •Report/maintain higher echelon maintenance requirements to appropriate personnel.•Assist with coordination of more complex repairs through outside organizations or installations.•Assist the Government with tracking maintenance/repair requests being performed by outside organizations.•Escort approved visitors throughout the facility as required. •Assist with equipment turn-in and hand receipt maintenance as required. mfcvetsBasic Qualifications:-Possess excellent work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, and be detailed and accurate in performing all functions.-Be familiar with AR 25-50 and be able to write correspondence in a military format, when necessary.-Be able to operate a standalone computer without assistance and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.-Possess a valid, unencumbered state driver''s license.-Maintain files in accordance with applicable Army, Navy, and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.- High School Diploma or GED.-At least 3 yrs. experience in Maintenance Field.-Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, sit, stand, reach and move about the facility.-Be able to drive Government-owned passenger vehicles, trucks, and vans. No CDL license required.Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.Desired Skills:Be familiar with basic maintenance support forArmy Common Vehicles consisting of M1113,M1151, M1165, M1152, M1097, M1038, LMTVs,FMTVs, generators, and other power drivenequipment.-Ability to read/understand Original EquipmentManufacturer (OEM) technical manuals (TMs).-Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose engine,transmission and electrical systems on assignedequipment to determine required repairs IAWapplicable TMs.-Repair tire and wheel assemblies IAW applicableTMs.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
