Position Description The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, small office and is well-versed in general accounting functions. The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for assuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions and subsequent financial reporting; adhering to and guaranteeing compliance with all applicable internal and external mandates; and ensuring ethical operation of the businesses. Ensures delivery of monthly, quarterly job cost/in-house reports to owners. Work with owners as relates to budgets, forecasts, business plans and other related management reporting and analysis.Assists in general office and HR management including but not limited to benefits open enrollment, and new hire process and paperwork.Payroll processing, direct deposit, quarterly and annual returns, processing W2''s and 1099''sDirects the monthly close process and year-end close out with external CPA''s. Manages the relationship and provision of information to external CPA''s.Manages banking, ACH verification, Positive Pay, Bank Statements, Deposits.Ability to track and follow up on all Accounts Receivables.Assures compliance with all related state and federal government and bank reporting requirements and tax filings. Pay estimated/franchise taxes when due, file/pay sales and use tax monthly, manages quarterly disbursement checks for taxes.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the senior accounting manager must be able to perform each essential duty accurately, timely and effectively. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience demonstrating a progression of responsibility.Accounting or bookkeeping experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Attention to detail and commitment to customer service is required.Experience in upholding excellent accounting and reporting functions, as well as documenting policies and procedures. Requires strength in multi-tasking, prioritizing demands and project management.Superior analytical, quantitative, problem solving and communication skills.Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and MS Office Suite, in particular Excel.Expertise in Procore Construction Management Software and AIA G702 Payment Application a plus.Impeccable integrity and ethics.
