Job DescriptionEssential Job FunctionsAs an Engineer supporting the Design Change & Configuration Management Program, the candidate will be responsible as a competent technical focal of Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) specific to one or more aircraft components. This activity may involve redlining and processing of Engineering Changes, including pulling drawings, verification of specs and drawing details, understanding Materials of Concern and hierarchical part Bills of Material.You will be responsible to follow customer and QuEST standard work and document workflow for design changes from engineering, and information from suppliers, as well as working with the Cognizant Engineer for particular parts to provide answers in a Change Control Board for Engineering Change approval.The role of this project engineer will require the candidate to be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, be team oriented, and have excellent data management skills, and be able to quickly learn Aerospace Engineering terminology and Bills of Material nomenclature. Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PMAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
