Anesthesia TechnicianFACILITY: LEGENT OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER AUSTIN LOCATION: AUSTIN, TX TYPE: Full TimePhysicians Surgical Network Affiliates, are looking for full-time and PRN Anesthesia Technicians to join our team in Austin. PSN Affiliates, manages surgery centers and hospitals throughout Texas and is looking for anesthesia techs to partner with to give superior patient care. Our Austin location is a surgical center focusing on Pain, Spine, Ortho Spine, Neuro Spine and Orthopedics Sports Medicine., while our San Antonio location is a surgical center specializing Orthopedics and Spine.Minimum RequirementsGraduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate.Requires two-years of experience assisting in patient care with a focus in the area of preoperative services.Anesthesia Tech certification preferred. BLS/ CPR (AHA).Compensation and Benefits:*COMPETITIVE HOURLY RATE *VISION*401K *MEDICAL*PTO Accrued *DENTALPosition SummaryPerforms technical work assisting an anesthesia care provider with equipment, supplies, drugs, and special procedures utilized in the course of the anesthesia care providers medical practice.Position ResponsibilitiesPre-Admission Responsibilities:Completes required orientation as directed by facility Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignmentFollows facility Unusual Occurrence ProtocolRespects cultural and religious practices of patientsUpholds HIPAA regulationsPunctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shiftsEssential Duties of an Anesthesia Technician:Assists with invasive hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring of patients; sets up arterial and catheter lines and other monitoring devices and records findings.Performs basic trouble shooting for equipment such as monitors, pulse oximeter, and capnographs and repairs equipment or requests mechanical assistance. Reports equipment malfunctions immediately.Sets up all equipment for induction of anesthesia in the operating room and other anesthetizing locations, with appropriate equipment for age and procedure scheduled.Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Cooperates with other personnel to achieve departmental and interdepartmental objectives and maintain good employee relations.Stocks and maintains specialized carts per established specifications. Maintains inventory of all anesthesia supplies and ensures proper care and storage of equipment.Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes reusable equipment and continuously maintains safety and proper working conditions.Transports patients and laboratory samples to ensure the preoperative units daily activities proceed smoothly and in an orderly manner.All other duties as assigned.*****PSN AFFILIATES PROVIDES SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE TEXAS AREA TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO EL PASO, SAN ANTONIO, AUSTIN, PLANO, FORT WORTH, CARROLLTON, FRISCO, AND IRVING*****
