We are looking for an experienced DevOps developer to join this innovative team as a technical expert. The candidate will be a key contributor responsible for creating tools used to accelerate the development of AMD''s next generation cores and caches. The candidate will join the team based in Fort Collins, CO.The PersonThe candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details. We work on programs with long timelines, so self-motivation and a commitment to meeting deadlines is required. We are pushing the envelope on chip performance, so the status quo must be challenged on every program. This requires creativity and innovation, but also excellent verbal and written communication skills. We work in small teams, but we are part of a large cross-site Core''s organization, so teamwork is also vital our success.Key Responsibilities Create and maintain tools and flows to automate the development, execution, and tracking of large test suites run to verify the IP used in AMD''s X86 chips. Solve design and tool problems requiring ground-breaking approaches and champion innovation across the organization. Create technical presentations for peers and management. Work with and train users on the tools, flow and processes used to enable IP development. Act as a liaison between the development teams and external tools suppliers. Guide junior engineers. Preferred Experience Significant experience with scripting & automation in bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, and Tcl Experience with database programming Knowledge of web technologies including Apache, CGI, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, REST API, cloud, gRPC Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux fundamentals - NFS, process management, strace, networking, cron Experience with build tools - GNU make, dependency graphs and analysis, GCC/Clang, ccache, templating languages History of developing code using best practices including - CI/CD, code review, unit-testing, test-driven development Academic Credentials BS/MS in EE, CS, CSE (or similar), plus 3+ years verification DevOps experience LOCATION: Fort Collins, Colorado, USACompensation Range & BenefitsExpected to range from $126,700.00 to $181,000.00 , commensurate with experience and specific skill sets.
