Sr. Quality Engineer

Sr. Quality Engineer Job Type Full-time Description: An experienced Quality Engineer with a high level of PC-DMIS Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming experience. This position requires advanced knowledge of GD&T. Additionally, this position is also responsible for supporting both Engineering and Manufacturing functions with new product launches, performing in-process and final inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies utilizing standard measurement and test equipment, conducting product NC Root Cause and Corrective Action Investigations and technical training amongst the QC team. Requirements: Serves as resident expert on all CMM data collection and PC-DMIS or similar software Responsible for programming and training the coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect components Ensures accuracy of CMM programs to dimensioned tolerances. Works with engineering team to develop fixtures and holding methods appropriate for proper data collection. Develops, maintains, and communicates CMM reports Training inspectors and other associates on the operation and use of the CMM and other inspection techniques Performs Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies for programs and fixture setups. Will work with engineers to develop technically appropriate inspection techniques for components. Ability to use and program similar computer-controlled devices for measurement (i.e., Optical Measurement Devices) May perform other general inspection for acceptance of components Performs part layouts and provides PPAP/First Article documentation Conducts process capability studies Strong problem-solving skills Collaborates well with others Ability to prioritize workload Education/Training/Availability: BS Degree in Engineering or technical trade school graduate, equivalent work experience, or apprenticeship Skilled in CAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) Willingness to flex hours and work overtime as required PI188380855
