Contracts SpecialistSeeking contract Support Specialist to join our team. Your main duties include preparing,negotiating and reviewing Navy / NAVWAR Acquisition contracts. A successful ContractSupport Specialist will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discoverpotential risks. You should analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasingprofits, while ensuring compliance with the law. Our ideal candidate has experience contractssupport experience at NAVWAR or similar Navy organization. Responsibilities • Provides direct support to the Assistant Program Manager (APM) in the execution of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series acquisition requirements, applicable OMB Circulars, Defense Acquisition Guide, and the DoD Guide to Planning Scheduling, etc. • Executes statutory and policy procurement-related requirements (FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 series) in an ACAT I, II or III programs • Generates programmatic material, e.g., meeting announcements, distribution lists, agendas, minutes, action items, schedules, presentations, etc. using Microsoft (MS) Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Outlook e-mail. • Participates in various levels of meetings, working groups, telcons, virtual meetings, etc. across the NAVWAR Enterprise. • Generates periodic status/metric reports using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Generates, reviews, and/or updates acquisition documentation, e.g.Requirements • An active secret clearance preferred. • Bachelor''s degree. • At least one year of experience providing contracts management support to a federal DoD program office, preferably Navy or DoD. • Experience conducting market research, acquisition planning; cost and price analysis, solicitation and selection of sources; development of contract documents, and performance of all phases of contract administration. • Familiarity with executing statutory and policy procurement-related requirements (FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 series) in an ACAT I, II or III program). • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. • Must reside in San Diego vicinity.
