Easy Apply now by clicking the ''Apply'' button and sending us your resume.Salary $65,000 - $90,000 per yearA Bit About UsLeading automated casting foundry offering toolmaking and machining with a history of success.Why join us?Opportunity to join an established company that is continuing to grow.Job DetailsThe ideal candidate will beDeveloping and revising gating/risering and tooling layout while troubleshooting casting defects that are identified during the process.Working closely on product quality, engineering and production overall to help develop methods of operation, unique equipment or recommend modifications to existing equipment to support improved effectiveness/efficiency.Follow up reviews of actual costs provided by Manufacturing Process Engineer and foundry personnelCarrying out additional duties such as, actively participate in product and continuous improvement team activities and provide teams with casting and tooling support Participate in developing accurate job cost estimates for tooling and castings.Help create accurate Foundry Operations routings and bills of material; ensure that the purchasing staff have the information they need to procure necessary BOM itemsFacilitate the new job start-up process and the quality / productivity improvement process by observing and advising as each sample/R&D/processCheck job moves through the Foundry Ops Assist operations associates in development of standard work for the shop floorProvide concept layout of tool design and process planning for all new toolsAssist in resolving customer dimensional, machining and form/fit problems (tool/equipment related issues), whether caused by the company or by customer operationsMaintain awareness of improved and competitive technologies to enhance the company''s competitive positionContinuously seek out, identify, and communicate process changes that would improve productivity, quality, cost, health, safety and environmental performanceWhat you need to have for this positionYou must have a minimum of 5 years experience casting/tooling engineering within the foundry industry, preferably Gray Inductile Iron and Steel.A Bachelors or Associates degree in an Engineering Technology, Drafting, Industrial arts, etc.Looking for someone with a knowledge of design parameters, blueprint reading and someone who is comfortable spending 50% of their time on the manufacturing floor.Physical Requirements Is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.The Casting Engineer is often required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Will frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.Close, distant, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception are used routinely.The Casting Engineer is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, loud noises, heat in summer, and cold in winter.Hardhat, safety glasses with brow and side-shields, safety shoes, hearing protection, respirator and gloves are worn as terested in hearing more?
