Job Description

The Shattuck Group is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to analyze complex enterprise environments from an information security perspective across the U.S. Federal government space. The officer would interface with high-level client executives and hands-on technology practitioners to bring meaningful, strategic change in the sphere of information protection, data security and privacy, and business continuity. Advise and assist client customers with the Lifecycle Assessment and Authorizations process and development of a System Security Plan. Utilize COTS/GOTS and custom tools and process/procedures in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions. Monitor, track and update status of systems in the assessment queue. Coordinate technical security assessments of computing environments and systems to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance standard and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies. Assist architect and services developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security controls and potential security functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions. Assist with the architecture, configuration, deployment and service design of network and system security monitoring and analysis tools, Identity and Access Management platforms, IT-GRC platforms, and DLP systems. Articulate business risks of technical vulnerabilities to client personnel and identify and communicate findings to client personnel while assisting with scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals. Qualifications: -TSC/SCI with full scope polygraph -A minimum of ten years of experience in information security or in a technology-related field, and strong knowledge base in operations, enterprise networking, system evaluation and architecture; U.S. Federal Government preferred -Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field -Prior Intelligence Community Assessment and Authorization experience preferred -Strong understanding of and ability to provide security configuration and testing of networking and operating systems including TCP/IP, WAN/LAN routing, VLAN architecture, and a wide array of large-scale environments including various major web application servers -Functional certification such as MCSE, CCNA, CNE, CCIE, Archer/ArcSight/other product certified preferred -CISSP, CEH, CPT, CISM, CISA, CIPP, GIAC, GSEC, and/or GCFW certifications preferred
