All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design Engineer to work an exciting new program. On this program, the team will deliver a space-based sensor that performs space domain awareness. This position is to help our team evolve ground based mission processing applications of remote sensing payloads onto flight hardware for demonstrations and onboard mission processing operations. This engineering position will work alongside research scientists, software engineers, and other FPGA engineers on the advanced programs and exploitation team responsible for the payload mission processing. In this role, the FPGA Design Engineer will be responsible for:-Developing an understanding of R&D mission processing and machine learning algorithms and help implement for hardware processing- Development, integration, and test of processor subsystem features and interfaces in FPGA hardware- Requirements, FPGA code, and test bench development- Verification- Synthesis- Timing analysis- Unit test- Support of debug and system integration activities Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position is in beautiful Boulder, Colorado at our offices which have a collaborative and modern agile workspace.Basic Qualifications:• HDL experience with VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog • Proficient in at least 1 scripting language • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance required for this role.Desired Skills:• Proficient in Matlab & C++ • GPU programming experience or knowledge • FPGA knowledge (Xilinx & Microchip/Microsemi) • Rad-Tolerant/Rad-Hard experience (TMR, safeFSM, etc) • UVM (verification/testing) skills • HLS skills (Vivado-HLS, Vitis-HLS) • Demonstrated experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test). • Knowledge of space-grade/qualified FPGAs and ASICs. • Knowledge of digital design, development, and simulation. • FPGA engineering process improvement activities. • Model Based Systems Engineering tools • Metrics collection, analysis, and reporting to senior leadership.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
