We look forward to meeting you!For more information, visit view all job vacancies, visitor Description:Description: The Patient Care Assistant PRN is responsible for performing technical and clerical duties associated with the care and treatment of patients.Typical Duties: Performs basic patient care with consideration for age and developmental stage. Assists with patient care in a way that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection, accidental contamination, and protects the patient from injury or harm. Obtains and records vital signs, I/Os, weights, bedside testing, and documents in the patient record as directed by the license nurse.Delivers and obtains items from other areas of the hospital as required.. Prepares and assists with admissions, discharges, procedures, ambulating and transfers of patients. Assists in monitoring adequate availability of equipment and stocking of supplies and equipment according to established accounts receivable levels.. Monitors patients with restraints or on suicide precautions and documents as directed. Assists and performs activities as assigned by the licensed nurse and within the scope of practice as outlined on the skills competency form. Maintains a safe, clean work environmentPerforms other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED.Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Current JPS recognized BLS certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
