Mechanical Engineer

EvolutionHR is working with a growing small business in Arlington, VA and seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer, with PE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining product and industry knowledge. You will work in a team-oriented environment that accelerates operational efficiency. This position will oversee a majority of facility reviews for government end client. ResponsibilitiesProvide inspections, mechanical calculations, and design analysis for client projectsConduct design reviews, submittal reviews, reviews and facilitation of training plans, and O&M manual reviewsPerform energy management, HVAC and life safety surveys, and facilities management evaluations and condition assessmentsSuggest methods to improve operational efficiencyWork cross-functionally with different teams and organizationsQualificationsBachelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is requiredA Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to acquire a Virginia PE through reciprocity within 6 months is requiredCertified Commissioning Authority (CxA) and LEED Accredited Professional certifications are highly desirable5 years of direct experience in facilities mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing (domestic water) systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and testing adjusting and balancing (TAB) is requiredExperience in a supervisory capacity is desiredMust have a superior track record of client satisfaction in mission critical facilities and a passion for analyzing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and upgrading integrated systems in aging facilities and campus environmentsMust possess an in-depth knowledge of LEED requirements and industry standards and practices i.e. ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSAMUST BE US CITIZEN WITH ABILITY TO OBTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCE
