Description of role Responsibilities • Plan and track HW developments activities • Develop HW design requirements and HW test requirements • Develop and update Worst Case Analysis • Provides Electronic design (Schematic and PCB) ensuring that: o design meets HW requirements o design guidelines are fulfilled o design is reviewed and approved (including DFM review) o CPM is developed for every design change o drawings are released in the official CM tool • Develop HW related analysis: o DFMEA o SPFM (Single Point Fault Metric) / LFM (Latent Fault Metric) o Common Cause / Common Mode Analysis o Sneak Circuit Analysis • Provide SW development boards and coordinate related builds • Coordinate prototype builds and perform first HW functional test • Support production plant on critical builds • Performs HW Impact Analysis and implementation of Engineering Change • Analyses Validation Test Results and Characterization test results • Coordinate and execute HW specific bench testing and CV testing • Support HW related Open Points investigation and troubleshooting Skills & Competencies • Basic planning and tracking skills • Knowledge of Analogue / Digital design and PCB layout • Knowledge of EMI / EMC design best practices • Knowledge of HW Design and Simulation tools and methods • Knowledge of ISO26262 HW section and related analysis methods • Knowledge of microcontroller and related peripherals HW interfaces • Design Knowledge for specific digital & analogue electronic components, ASICs and circuitry • Capability to ensure design compliance to requirements • Capability to select appropriate materials and components • Capability to perform and interpret stack-up analysis and worst-case analysis • Capability to use lab tools, equipment, and techniques to verify proper functioning of circuit design • Analytic thinking, Problem solving, Team working skills
