Compliance AnalystCharlotte, NC12-month W2 ContractProvide thought leadership and proactively identify risk by analyzing emerging risks, trends and threats.Ensure ownership and management of an effective control environment and compliance mandates.Champion effective controls environment and ensure timely remediation of fluence to promote a risk aware culture through collaboration and partnership with various stakeholdersTrack, measure, validate, and report on risk identification, acceptances, and remediation efforts.Work closely with business, and technology counterparts to understand business objectives, initiatives, and ensure alignment with Information Security policies and best practicesResponsibility and Duties:Demonstrates working knowledge of IT and Cybersecurity policy, standards, processes, controls and functional areasCompetent in the use of IT and Cybersecurity tools, procedures, and research capabilitiesMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise''s cybersecurity safeguards to ensure they provide the intended level of protection.Perform or assist in security reviews and identify security gaps in security architecture resulting in recommendations for inclusion in risk mitigation strategy.Perform or assist in cyber defense trend analysis and reportingCorrelate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable expeditious remediationAssess or assist in the assessment in the effectiveness of security controlsCollaborate with Cybersecurity leadership and architects to make sure security technologies, processes, and people align with strategic plan and budget.Define security standards, security baselines, performance metrics, plan, and initiate periodic performance reviews for the cybersecurity architecture and assessment team and vendorsCarries out individual work assignments of a less complex nature to meet established work schedules.Receives work assignments and works with review and direction by management or senior analyst.Performs or assist in the performance of technical project work as needed to complete project deliverables.Basic knowledge of IT and Cybersecurity policy, standards, processes, resources and controls.Able to apply process and controls knowledge to meet compliance requirements.Provides good customer support to deliver compliance results to internal and external partiesCommunicates with customers to understand compliance requirementsCommunicates problems and resolutions to manager and/or customersProvides input on process improvements to IT compliance programCommunicate compliance information in a clear and concise mannerEducation Requirement:Bachelors degree in information assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field. 9+ years utility, cybersecurity, audit, compliance, regulatory, years experience in security operations center, firewall, network, military information security and/or system administration relevant work experience in IT, Cybersecurity and/or NERC CIP. 5+ years utility, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience.Experience in Cybersecurity, preferably with risk identification and management, audit and compliance, policy development and maintenance, evaluation of control requirements, security and related industry regulatory issues.Coordinates all internal and external changes associated with products or services to assure legal compliance with regulatory guidelines. Organizes compliance communications and audits. Supports management in monitoring compliance procedures. 5-10 years of experience. - provided by Dice
