Impact Environmental is a New Jersey based environmental remediation firm with over 3 decades of success. We are looking for an Associate Project Manager with 5 plus years of full-time environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science experience to join our team to work on New York and New Jersey projects. Position QualificationsMust have proficiency and relevant experience with the following:Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and familiarity with the NJ Site Remediation Program and Industry Site Recovery ActExperience with preparing technical reports and assessmentsExperience in planning, organizing and conducting environmental site assessment and investigationsSelf-driven and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and directionPreparing environmental reports and work plans with Project Manager and Principal guidance and reviewManaging and mentoring junior staff of project-level scientists/field techniciansOverseeing and documenting environmental remedial actionsAbility to perform and manage field tasks and activitiesPreparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and reviewing contractsExperience with following areas are considered a plus:Conducting Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments or Preliminary AssessmentsFundamental understanding of remediation treatability/pilot studies and design for various types of media (e.g., soil vapor extraction or sub-slab depressurization)AutoCAD proficiencyProfessional Licensure or RegistrationPreparing Long Island Well Permits, SPDES permits, and NYC sewer discharge permit applicationsGeneral Requirements:Based out of our Lyndhurst, NJ office, with travel throughout the greater NY areaGood organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsComfortable with logistics coordination and working with outside consultants, vendors and service providersTeam-oriented, safety conscious individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethicOSHA 40 hour (HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 30 hour (Construction Safety) certifications a plusValid driver''s license and good driving record with no DUI''s, excessive or major violations in the last 5 yearsMust be able to pass a drug screen and background checkRequired Experience:Bachelor''s degree in environmental, engineering, or science-related fields. Masters a plusMinimum of 5 years of full time New Jersey environmental consulting or engineering experience
