ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and leadership in area(s) of assigned responsibility, primarily hydraulic fluid power systems, from sizing components, schematic design, to component selection, machine start up and fine tuning, and plumbing design, but also including material selection, structural requirements, tolerances, aesthetics and testing of other aspects of crane designs.Plan, direct and control engineering effort directly related to assigned projects, including establishing program criteria, planning & scheduling, production issues, field issues, and testing.Work with service and directly with customers on troubleshooting. Work with suppliers to validate product designs meet agreed specifications.Prepare project development criteria in accordance with management objectives. Maintain close contact and coordinate activities with other groups within the product Engineering Department both domestically and internationally.Assist other departments in preparation of manuals and sales literature on assigned projects. Supervise work of assigned resources including internal or external contractors.Prepare concept sketches, layouts, detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Material, and Specification documents as required.QualificationsBachelor''s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years'' experience engineering construction equipment or in a related industry, and with at least three years of experience with hydraulic fluid power required. Creo, Creo Schematics, Windchill, hydraulic instrumentation, and CFP HS certification preferredNormal office environment. Occasional visit to job site, test yard or factory with focus on safe working practices.Good communication skills required, including the ability to interface with other cultures.Must be able to work independently with a strong work ethic and proven track record of project execution are required. May need to supervise the work of contract resources.
