Product Engineer

Basic Qualifications Education/Training: Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering. Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in truck body, oil and gas industry, or mining equipment is preferred but not required.General ResponsibilitiesResponsible for creating new and modifying existing engineering documentation for Curry Supply Company product lines. This consists of but is not limited to service bodies, flatbeds, lube/fuel bodies, truck body accessories, oil and gas industry products, and mining industry products. Responsibilities will include 3D modeling, creating manufacturing drawings that include bill of materials and other supporting documentation such as wiring and hydraulic schematics. Designs must meet customer requirements based on United States Department of Transportation Standards. Essential Duties1. Performs a variety of duties to support the engineering team as follows:a. Interpret customer specifications and sales orders to complete an engineering package of drawings and bill of materials for manufacturing.b. Support the manufacturing of product by providing guidance as required.c. Develop new product to meet sales, safety, and regulatory requirements.d. Support manufacturing initiatives to provide customers with products that meet or exceed customer requirements while improving internal metrics.Essential Skills1. Familiarity with standard engineering terms and practices2. Solidworks or equivalent 3D design software, including Finite element analysis (FEA)3. Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes4. Knowledge of hydraulics and wiring, and the capability to create schematics and work instructions5. Superior computer skills & the ability to maintain technical documentation6. Familiarity with product liability practices and associated design documentation7. The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver on schedulen schedule.
