AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.About the roleWhat you need to know:As a Senior Complex Claims Director, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the highest exposure, complex first party and third-party liability, Cyber, Media & Technology claims, including class actions and high exposure matters, from inception through conclusion brought against insureds engaged in a wide range of professions.Primary responsibilities include providing superior customer service, directing investigations, managing litigation, analyzing coverage, preparing coverage position letters, formulating / documenting claim handling and resolution strategies.Managing counsel and experts to control expenses and working closely with counsel and experts to evaluate losses and reach cost effective claim dividual will need to collaborate with underwriting partners on existing claims and trends to support business efforts and make presentations to both claim and underwriting management.Position requires periodic travel to attend client service meetings, trade conferences, mediations, and trials.What we are looking forMinimum of seven years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation or other related experience.Proven ability to analyze policies of insurance and legal documents. Knowledge of the litigation and arbitration process required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent negotiation skills.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).A proven track record of experience in the handling of Cyber/Media/Technology liability claimsBachelor''s Degree or equivalent (Juris Doctor) is highly preferred.
