Desktop Support Specialist with Security Clearance

GridIron IT is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist with an active Secret clearance in Arlington, VA. Work is currently hybrid (2x week onsite). This position supports the provisioning and issuing of IT equipment and access to lab environments as well as basic troubleshooting (Tier I) assistance to the user community. Responsibilities:• Providing support as needed to lab staff in the tasks of provisioning and issuing equipment to end users, as well as maintaining inventory database.• Provision and provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix, VMWare, AWS) to users• Inventorying of IT assets to include, but not limited to, hardware and software, including licenses Required: * Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance* Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability before starting* 4+ years of experience lab management or systems administration experience (with HS diploma or 2 years of experience lab management or systems administration experience with a Bachelor''s degree.)* Experience with multiple operating systems, to include Linux/Unix & MacOS* Experience with imaging workstations (Apple products preferred) • Ability to provide clear written and oral communication at all levels of the organizationDesired Skills:Proficiency and proven capability in the following areas:o Asset management practices and principleso Hardware and software provisioning practiceso Authentication and access management technologies• Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare, AWS)• Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures• Virtualization automation and optimization Desired Certifications: - DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II
