Overview The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies. Located about 60 miles southwest of Toledo in Defiance, Ohio, our facility was constructed in 2002 and designed to promote a healing environment. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the department manager, prepares, seasons, bakes and garnishes food for patients, employees, and visitors. Functions as an active member of the food production team. Functions independently. Requires attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal directions and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Four years significant experience in high volume food production as a cook. Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations. Maintain CPR certification. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic. Must be able to deal effectively with the public. Must have a pleasant personality. Restaurant, country club, or hotel experience is desirable. Physical Demands -Work is a constant and steady demand. Some lifting up to 40 pounds may be involved with certain tasks. Requires ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in heat or cold areas for periods of time.
