Adranos is seeking a Director of Safety and Quality to lead safety and quality control of rocket fueland rocket motor research, development, and manufacturing operations. Adranos designs, tests, and manufactures solid rocket motors for various launch systems, includingmissiles, and commercial space platforms. Adranos is focused on implementing innovations to increaseperformance and reduce the cost of solid rocket motors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • This individual will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will have the ultimate responsibility for personnel safety and regulatory compliance as follows: o Supervise a team of scientists and engineering technicians in safe handling, data collection, and research related to activities involving the manufacturing of metal powders and propellants; o Establish, implement, and maintain a safety program throughout the organization; o Develop and conduct safety training programs for all staff; and o Provide day-to-day oversight of project activities and ensure adherence to established safety protocols and related training. • This individual will also have the ultimate responsibility for product quality and related regulatory compliance as follows: o Validate quality product specifications and quality attributes; measure and document objective evidence; determine operational and performance qualifications; develop and update quality processes; o Provide guidance to engineering to best utilize quality processes and techniques and ensure customer requirements are met; o Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including corrective actions, failed processes, recalls, return merchandise and re-validations; o Support manufacturing and quality project planning and scheduling to ensure consistent execution and delivery of products and services; and o Champion ISO 9001/AS9100 certification and compliance. • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Bachelor''s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant, hand-on experience in the propellants and/or munitions field, which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of military, commercial, and other types of energetic materials or a Master''s Degree with at least 2 years of experience • Expertise in the establishment and management of safety programs supporting propellants and other energetic materials and providing safety training and instruction Other Valued Attributes: • 5 years of quality management experience in the aerospace and defense manufacturing environment • Certified in ASQ - QE
