ASE is seeking a telephone specialist responsible for working on its Nortel legacy and CISCO VOIP phone systems, which include telephones, cabling, voicemail systems, conference systems, and for the planning, installation, maintenance, and repair of phone systems and phone infrastructure. Performs daily operations, preventive and on-site maintenance of the non-secure and secure telephone systems to include inside cable plant, distribution frame, communications closets, and telephone instruments. Plans and executes migration from analog and digital phone systems to VOIP systems. Provides technical support for non-secure and secure voice, associated supporting equipment, infrastructure, and fax communications lines. Provides installation/de-installation, troubleshooting and repair of telephone equipment and lines in accordance with appropriate security requirements within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities as requested by the Technical Task Manager to ensure quality service and efficient equipment operation. Job Summary: The INSCOM C2IO Telecommunications Specialist will analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. Principal Duties and Responsibilities : * Assesses client telecommunications requirements and provides recommendations on telecommunications solutions * Plans, coordinates, and schedules telecommunications deployments and maintenance * Performs telecom maintenance, voicemail configuration, troubleshooting, and retirement * Manages cross connect panels at the Main Distribution Frame and Intermediate Distribution Frame closets Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Current TOP SECRET clearance w/ SCI eligibility as recorded in DISS * Minimum two years of successful work experience as an installation technician with VOIP. * Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation * Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing * Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously * Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements * Must be able to travel as needed (25% or less) * Proficient with MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and SharePointDesired Qualifications: * Working experience with Nortel, Avaya, and Cisco systemsYou must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
