The Jefferson Wells team is seeking a highly qualified Tax Manager for our full-time salaried team working with a variety of clients. This position is Direct Hire and can work remotely most of the time but must be open to occasioanl travel to client sites when necessary. The ideal candidate will have extensive Federal, State and International Income Tax Compliance, and Tax Provision (ASC 740) experience. Big (4) Public Accounting and a CPA is highly desired. Duties Prepare and/or review current and deferred income tax provisionsCompute and maintain the deferred tax roll forward of gross and tax effected temporary differencesDetermine taxable income and calculate the effective tax ratePrepare and review tax account roll forwards and reconciliationsAssist with the liability for uncertain tax positions under FIN 48Responsible for meeting all required deadlinesPrepare and assist our clients with federal, state, and international income tax compliance using CorpTax or OneSource Tax SoftwarePrepare and review partnership returnsAll About You Certifications - CPA preferred, but not requiredBachelor''s degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics or Business administrationMinimum 7 years of experienceMix of public accounting (Big 4 experience a plus) and corporate industry tax experienceHighly desired - Master''s degree in Accounting/Tax or Law degree with Tax LLMExcellent tax expertise, especially in US International Tax, as well as State and Federal and Tax Provision ASC 740Solid understanding and application of ASC 740 is Required**Strong communication skills, both in the context of executive presentations and in written and oral communicationsStrong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels in the organizationStrong skills in CorpTax, OneSource and Excel are preferredUnderstanding and experience with United States income tax code and regulationsPreparation & review of income tax provisions including current and deferred tax componentsTax Rate AnalysisTax account analysis, reconciliation and roll forwardComplying with financial statement audit requirementsKnowledge of FIN 48Current experience with the preparation and review of consolidated federal and multi-state income tax returns, required.** U.S. international tax returns experience is a bonus.Eligible to work in the U.S.If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to be considered for, please contact us as soon as possible!
