Markesman Group is seeking a System Administrator - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SME. Daily Responsibilities include support of Red Hat Linux systems, and various applications (Red Hat Satellite, Cloud Forms, Puppet, Confluence, Gitlab, Splunk, Jenkins, OpenShift) to provide smooth operation of the environment. This is primarily a support role with great emphasis on engineering of CI/CD pipeline infrastructure. Help train junior members with patching, and other O&M related tasks. Candidate is expected understand and comply with certification and accreditation requirements. Help create and maintain SOPs. To be successful in this challenging and critical role, candidate will be expected to have the following: will possess many years of working experience in large - multi-site environments, expert knowledge of RHEL, in-depth knowledge and real world experience in automation, be able to troubleshoot & mitigate issues, working knowledge of databases, detailed oriented, a team player, and is willing to learn. Responsibilities:The contractor support shall include, but is not limited to: The candidate should have demonstrated Red Hat experience as an engineer and administrator working at a client site in a high stress environment and deliver measurable results Experience designing and managing Red Hat systems in multi datacenter environments, with HA and DR design experience Knowledge of Linux Administration Proficient with Bash Proficient with Red Hat IDM and the commands required to automate actions within Active Directory Proficient with Satellite and the commands required to automate actions within Satellite Proficient with Puppet and the commands required to automate actions within Satellite Manage all aspects of CI/CD the environment, including installation, upgrade, patching, and monitoring Must have good scripting experience in at least one of the scripting languages (bash, perl, python, ruby) Experience in DevOps team member to integrate CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift Provide technical leadership and technical guidance on projects Participate in internal workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solutions Hands on experience working with Openshift 3.x, 4.x - RBAC, AD/LDAP Integration, CI/CD, Secret Management, Image Scanning, Certificates, SSL/TSL Provide T3 level engineering support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment Assist in troubleshooting CI/CD related tasks in OpenShift & Jenkins Working knowledge of Nexus, Docker, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gitlab is a must Understand all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, Configuration Management, quality assurance, and release management The candidate must be able to deliver technical documentation and user documentation as required This position may require occasional off hours support to perform upgrades and patches Must be a team player Qualifications: Requires US Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance 10+ years senior level RHEL engineering experience 6+ years with in depth RHEL troubleshooting skills, working with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet), Scripting experience with (PERL, Bash, Python, or Ruby) Understanding and working knowledge with databases (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) Strong written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of Linux internal components, and kick start. 10+ years required experience in Information Technology, hardware, software, development Optional/Preferred: vCenter, CEPH (Object storage), RH Satellite, VMWare vSphere, vRealize, Jenkins, Nexus Repository Manager, Maven, HAProxy, Apache Web Server, Gitlab, PostgreSQL, OpenShift. Certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer, or Red Hat Certified Architect Education: BS/MS Information Technology; Computer Science
