Description TMIT Engineer Analyst SME, Navy Environmental Programs San Diego, CA Responsibilities: Perform as an Engineer Analyst SME, Navy Environmental Programs for Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific TYCOM Material Inspection Team (TMIT). The Engineer Analyst will conduct material checks and related administrative program assessments on Environmental Protection (EP), Occupational Health (OH), Medical (MD) and Ventilation (VT) related equipment and systems in support of TYCOM Readiness Evaluation (READ-E) inspections and assist visits. This will include: * EP equipment and systems include solid waste processing, oily waste system and collection holding and transfer (CHT). * OH equipment is everything related to safety administrative programs (E.g. fall protection, tag out, electrical safety, hearing conservation, gas free, hazmat, gas free engineering, respiratory protection, heat stress, sight conservation, safety administration, radiation and laser safety, lead protection, and general safety). * MD equipment is everything that supports Medical (main/secondary BDS, supply inventory, refrigeration). * VT includes fan room material condition, air flow assessments in sanitary and hazmat spaces, air flow alarm testing. Requirements: * High School Degree * Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Clearance * 20 years of documented hands-on Navy shipboard Operations experience. * Three (3) at sea tours working in an Operations capacity. * Experience operating and maintaining Operations related equipment and support systems. Desired: * Experience as an Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV). * Experience as an inspector at the Afloat Training Group or TYCOM staff focusing on Pre-INSURV preparations * Experience as a former US Navy engineering related rating (DC, EN or MM).
