Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking to bring on Technology Flight Demonstrators Manager for the Product Development team.The Technology Flight Demonstrators Manager is responsible for the day-to-day development, planning and execution of the program. This includes significant roles in identification, selection and integration of technologies on platforms, safe-to-fly planning and execution, platform execution and reviews. The selected candidate will manage the BCA Product Development Technology Flight Demonstrator and ecoDemonstrator Program team members and lead integrated cross - organizational Boeing team to develop and execute integrated technology/airplane plan, policies and procedures in alignment to accelerate organizational and technical strategies. The selected candidate will work closely with the ecoDemonstrator Program Manager to support all flight demonstrators are supported with shared resources.This position requires significant coordination and excellent communication skills with internal and external customers. The Technology Flight Demonstrator program relies on highly integrated Enterprise execution and working together among all stakeholders, BCA/BDS Programs, Engineering, BCA Programs, Supplier Management, Boeing Research and Technology, Boeing Testing and Evaluation and all functional organizations (Finance, Business Ops, etc.). This position is located in Everett, Washington.Position Responsibilities:Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesTechnical aspects: cost, schedule, and other programmatic aspects; and proposal support (including development of labor estimates)Develop and engage Employees through: coaching; mentoring; and employee performance assessment, as well as identifying growth opportunities and assignments that best fit the needs of the individual and the companyAct as Product Development Deputy Technology Flight Demonstrator ManagerThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor''s Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field5+ years of experience with familiarity in aircraft design and airplane systems3+ years of experience with leading Engineering Test teams and associated Engineering Test activitiesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience leading or managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team or projectExperience forming cross-functional partnerships and leading cross-functional teams3+ years of project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, resource and intellectual property managementAccreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) board accredited course of studyRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Employee Referral Program:This job is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.
